¡Hola Barcelona!

Vor ein paar Wochen waren Arzu und ich in Barcelona. Wie ihr bereits in meinem Beitrag über die kinderleichte Buchung von Mikroreisen über Expedia gelesen habt, mögen wir es sehr spontan kurze Ausflüge über das Wochenende bzw. Feiertage zu machen.

So war es auch mit Barcelona, wir haben unser Handgepäck genommen und schon ging es los in die schöne Stadt Spaniens. Heute möchte ich euch einen kleinen Einblick in unsere 3 Tage in Barcelona geben und natürlich auch unsere Hotspots zeigen.

Unsere Mikroreise hat nach einem angenehmen Direktflug von München nach Barcelona mit dem komftortablen Check-in im Hotel H1898 im Herzen Barcelonas begonnen. Wir wurden im Hotel wärmstens empfangen und haben ein wunderschönes Zimmer auf der obersten Etage mit einem unfassbaren View erhalten. Das Zimmer war nicht nur riesig und komfortabel, sondern auch stylish. Das Hotel war ehemals eine Zigarrenfabrik und somit hat man einen gewissen Flair in den Räumlichkeiten und dem ganzen Gebäude. Insbesondere die Lobby ist ein Hingucker. Darüber hinaus liegt das Hotel auf der berühmten La Rambla, also mitten im Geschehen. Wir waren wirklich sehr zufrieden und konnten von hier aus alles super easy erreichen.

Barcelona sticht mit seiner vielfältigen Architektur hervor. An jeder Straßenecke erwartet den Entdecker ein Hingucker und man sieht Architekturen, die man zuvor nie gesehen hat. Insbesondere Gaudi ist hier ein Schlagwort und prägt die gesamte Stadt mit seinem speziellen Stil. Das bekannteste Wahrzeichen Barcelonas, die La Sagrada Familia stammt auch aus der Feder Gaudis. Die Kathedrale ist noch immer eine Baustelle und nicht fertiggestellt, da Gaudi sie kurz vor seinem Tod kreiiert hat und sie bis heute aus Eintrittsgeldern und Spenden gebaut wird. Ein Bauwerk, das wirklich sehr beeindruckend ist.

Antoni Gaudi zieht sich wie erwähnt durch die ganze Stadt, so gibt es den berühmten Park Güell mit seinen Werken. Bei einem kurzen Trip in die Hauptstadt Kataloniens empfehlen wir jedem eine Sightseeing Tour mit den Doppeldecker-Bussen zu machen. So sieht man alle Ecken und bekommt einen schönen Überblick. Die Eindrücke dieser Stadt sind sehr vielfältig und es wird einem nie langweilig. Barcelona sticht mit seinen kleinen Gassen und mediterranen Stil hervor.

Natürlich darf bei einem Städtetrip das Essen nicht zu kurz kommen. Wie ihr wisst, lieben Arzu und ich neue Hotspots zu entdecken und leckere neue Dinge zu probieren. So haben wir auch in Barcelona einiges für uns entdeckt und möchten es euch nicht vorentahlten.

Fangen wir mit den berühmten Tapas an. Man findet wirklich an jeder Ecke einen Tapas-Laden und hat eine imense Auswahl. Wir haben zwei verschiedene Locations besucht. Die eine Location heißt Tapa Tapa und bietet eine große Auwahl an Tapas. Egal ob Klassiker wie, Patatas Bravas und Pimientos, oder ausgfeallene Scampi und Octopus – hier gibt es alles was man sich wünscht. Darüber hinaus, darf natürlich Paella nicht fehlen. Dieses spanische Gericht, mit Reis und Meeresfrüchten ist hier ebenfalls zu finden. Natürlich ist das Interior hier auch ein Hingucker.

Die zweite Tapas Location auf unserer kulinarischen Reise, ist das RAO – ein sehr edles und stylishes Restaurant in einer ruhigen Gasse bei La Rambla. RAO zeichnet sich durch seine extravaganten Tapas aus und interpretiert Tapas auf eine neue Art und Weise. Das Personal überzeugt ebenfalls mit seiner humorvollen und lockeren Art. Probiert hier unbedingt den Octopus und das Paella.

Wer genug von Tapas hat, findet gesunde und hippe Gerichte im Honest Greens. Ein Laden, der mit seinem Interior wirklich sehr hervorsticht und man hier und da ein verstecktes Interior-Highlight findet. Unser persönlicher favorit Hotspot war defintiv dieser Laden. Insbesondere die Holzschaukel und der Glasboden mit Bäumen sind ein Wow-Effekt. Das Essen ist hier auch sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Probiert unbedingt die Kuchen und die leckeren und künstlerischen Kaffeespezialitäten.

Natürlich dürfen in Barcelona Churros nicht fehlen. Ihr findet an fast jeder Straßenecke Churros und kommt eigentlich gar nicht drum herum sie nicht zu verspeisen. Allerdings haben wir einen süßen Laden entdeckt, der diese leckeren Süßspeisen verkauft. Der Laden heißt Xurreria.

Wer gerne Frühstücken will, sollte einen Abstecher ins Flax & Kale machen. Hier gibt es frische Säfte und tolle Bowls sowie Avocado Brot und vieles mehr. Interiorgoals werden auch hier groß geschrieben und wenn man nicht früh genug da ist, kann es auch schon mal sein, dass ihr vor der Tür eine Warteschlange entdeckt. Zum Glück waren wir vor der Öffnungszeit schon vor Ort.

Ihr habt in Barcelona viele kleine Läden, in denen ihr Wein und spanische Delikatessen zu euch nehmen könnt. Viele Läden sehen sehr stilvoll und authentisch aus, man hat hier tatsächlich die Qual der Wahl. Wir werden defintiv nochmal nach Barcelona reisem, um unsere kulinarische Reise fortzusetzen. Eines können wir euch aber sagen, dieser Kurztrip nach Barcelona hat uns einen schönen Einblick in die Welt Spaniens verschafft und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. So entkommt man dem Alltagsstress und kann ein wenig Qualitytime gemeinsam verbingen. Daher nutzt die Gelegenheit und nehmt euch Zeit für eure Liebsten. A few weeks ago Arzu and I were in Barcelona. As you have already read in my article about the easy booking of weekend trips via Expedia, we like to make very spontaneous short trips over the weekend or holidays.

We simply took our hand luggage and we went to the beautiful city of Spain. Today I would like to give you a little insight into our 3 days in Barcelona and of course also show our hotspots.

After a pleasant direct flight from Munich to Barcelona, our little trip has started with the comfortable check-in in the hotel H1898 in the heart of Barcelona. We were warmly welcomed in the hotel and received a beautiful room on the top floor with an incredible view. The room was not only huge and comfortable, but also stylish. The hotel used to be a cigar factory and thus one has a certain flair in the rooms and the whole building. Especially the lobby is an eye-catcher. Moreover, the hotel is located on the famous La Rambla. We were really very satisfied and could reach everything super easy from here.

Barcelona stands out with its diverse architecture. At every street corner, an eye-catcher building awaits you and you can see some architecture that you have probably never seen before. Especially Gaudi is a buzzword here and characterizes the whole city with its special style. The most famous landmark of Barcelona, the La Sagrada Familia, also comes from the pen of Gaudi. The cathedral is still under construction and not finished, as Gaudi created it shortly before his death and it is still built today with entrance fees and donations. A building that is really very impressive.

Antoni Gaudi’s work runs as mentioned through the whole city, so there is the famous park Güell with his works. During a short trip to the capital of Catalonia, we recommend everyone to do a sightseeing tour with the double-decker buses. Thus, one sees all corners and gets a nice overview. The impressions of this city are very varied and it never gets boring. Barcelona stands out with its small alleys and Mediterranean style.

Of course, during a city trip, the food should not be neglected. As you know, Arzu and me, we love to discover new hotspots and try tasty new things. So we have also discovered a lot for ourselves in Barcelona and want to share with you.

Let’s start with the famous tapas. You can really find tapas shops at every corner and you have an imense choice. We visited two different locations. One location is called Tapa Tapa and offers a large selection of tapas. Whether classics like, Patatas Bravas and Pimientos, or Scampi and Octopus – here you will find everything you want. Beyond that, paella is not to be missed. This Spanish dish with rice and seafood can also be found here. Of course, the interior here is also an eye-catcher.

The second Tapas location on our culinary journey is the RAO – a very noble and stylish restaurant in a quiet alley near La Rambla. RAO distinguishes itself by its extravagant tapas and interprets tapas in a new way. The staff is also convincing with his humorous and relaxed manner. Try the Octopus and the Paella there.

Those who have had enough of tapas will find healthy and hip dishes in the Honest Greens. A shop that really stands out with its interior and you will find a hidden interior highlight here and there. Our personal favorite hotspot was definitely this store. Especially the wooden swing and the glass floor with trees are a wow effect. The food here is also very tasty and beautifully arranged. Make sure you try the cakes and the delicious and artistic coffee specialities.

Of course, churros are not to be missed in Barcelona. You will find churros on almost every street corner and you can’t avoid eating them. However, we have discovered a sweet shop that sells these delicious desserts. The shop is called Xurreria.

If you like breakfast, you should make a detour to Flax & Kale. Here you can get fresh juices and great bowls as well as avocado bread and much more. Interiorgoals are also written in capital letters here and if you’re not there early enough, you might find a queue at the door. Fortunately we were already there before the opening hours.

You have many small shops in Barcelona where you can buy wine and Spanish delicacies. Many shops look very stylish and authentic and you are spoilt for choice. We will definitely travel back to Barcelona to continue our culinary journey. But one thing we can tell you, this short trip to Barcelona gave us a nice insight into the world of Spain and we felt very comfortable. So you can escape the stress of everyday life and spend a little quality time together. So take the opportunity and take your time for your loved ones.
