Alacati liegt an der Ägäis Küste in der Türkei und befindet sich in der Nähe der Großstadt Izmir. Das kleine Örtchen ist der Hotspot für Prominenz und für alle, die sehen und gesehen werden wollen. Hier treffen in den Sommermonaten vor allem einheimische Touristen, die türkische Society und viele Surfliebhaber zusammen. Alacati ist nämlich für seine Surfbuchten sehr beliebt und auch international bekannt.
Wer jedoch wie wir, einen ruhigeren Urlaub bevorzugt, kann Alacati in der Nebensaison auch auf eine ganz andere Art und Weise erleben. Dieser Ort hat nämlich mehr als nur Party, Food und Beachclubs zu bieten. Diesen besonderen Charme kann man besonders gut außerhalb der Hauptsaison erleben.
Alacati ist bekannt für seine charakteristischen Steinhäuser und die authentischen, engen Gassen umgeben von dezenten mediterranen Blumen und Pflanzen. Hier fühlt man sich von der ersten Minute an im Urlaub angekommen. Die freundlichen Einheimischen empfangen einen auch mit der typisch türkischen Gastfreundlichkeit. Da fällt einem die Abreise auch gleich viel schwieriger.

Where to stay
Alaçati bietet für jeden Geschmack die perfekte Unterkunft. Es gibt viele kleine Boutique-Hotels in der Altstadt, aber auch tolle Hotel-Anlagen. Wie ihr wisst haben wir sehr hohe Ansprüche an ein Hotel und recherchieren sehr lange vor unserem Urlaub nach der „perfekten” Unterkunft.
Wir haben uns für die Wohlfühl-Oase BIBLOS RESORT ALACATI entschieden. Die beste Entscheidung! Das fünf Sterne Luxushotel, das mit dem Motto “Endless Aegean Dream” seine Gäste lockt, ist nicht nur optisch ein Traum, sondern auch der Service und die Räumlichkeiten lassen keine Wünsche offen. Insbesondere die Hotelanlage ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail konzipiert worden. Man sieht, wie jede einzelne Pflanze durchdacht platziert wurde und das Bild eines perfekten botanischen Gartens komplettiert. Kunst, Natur, Erholung, Gastfreundlichkeit und Lifestyle treffen hier an einem einzigen Ort zusammen. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und hat einen eigenen privaten Strandbereich. Natürlich gibt es aber auch mehrere Pools, einen tollen Fitnessbereich sowie eine exklusive Spa-Oase. Für eine ausgiebige Entspannung ist jedenfalls gesorgt. Die verschiedenen Treatment und Massage-Angebote sind sehr zu empfehlen.
Arzu und ich hatten ein Zimmer in der 2. Etage und hatten einen großartigen Ausblick auf das Meer und den Garten. Wer klassische Styles und Boho-Flair liebt, wird die Zimmer lieben. Perfekt ausgestattet und
mit tollem rund um die Uhr Service bleiben hier keine Wünsche offen. Insbesondere die lauen Abende auf dem privaten Balkon mit den Leckereien des Roomservice waren ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis.
Das Hotel hat 2 Restaurants mit einem authentischen und exquisiten Menü und tollen Chefs. Hier hat man die Qual der Wahl wenn es darum geht, was man bestellen soll. Es gibt außerdem noch die Patisserie Marquise,
ein Traum für alle Dessert-Liebhaber. Schaut hier unbedingt vorbei und lasst es euch bei einem Eclair und türkischem Mocca am Strand gut gehen.
Wir haben unsere neue Stammunterkunft in Alacati gefunden und werden hier definitiv in Zukunft wieder bleiben. Darauf freuen wir uns schon sehr.
Where to eat & drink
Ihr findet in der Altstadt von Alacati sehr viele kleine Restaurants und authentische türkische Küche. Wir haben ein paar dieser tollen Spots ausprobiert und möchten an dieser Stelle unsere Favoriten mit euch
teilen:
Asma Yapragi Tarla
Dieser sehr authentische Ort fühlt sich an wie bei Oma im Garten. Es gibt tolle türkische Hausmannskost auf klassische traditionelle Art zubereitet. Insbesondere die Mezze Gerichte sind ein Highlight. Man tut sich nur unheimlich schwer mit der Entscheidung, wenn man vor der Vitrine mit den tollen Gerichten steht. Lasst euch nicht irritieren, wenn ihr zu diesem Spot hinfahrt. Das Asma Yapragi Tarla ist nämlich sehr abseits gelegen und befindet sich gefühlt im Nirgendwo. Diese Tatsache macht das Restaurant aber gerade noch spezieller und toller. Daher: unbedingt probieren!
OD Urla
Das OD Urla befindet sich in Urla in Mitten der Natur auf einer Oliven-Plantage. Hier kann man unter riesigen Olivenbäumen high-class dinieren. Das Restaurant ist mit seinem Chefkoch und Inhaber Osman Sezener sehr bekannt und ein Ort, den man einfach live erleben muss. Was hier so speziell ist?! Die 5 Sterne Karte setzt nur auf nachhaltige und regionale Produkte und besteht aus Gerichten, die mit hauseigenem Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten und Feldern zubereitet werden. Alles was es hier auf der Karte gibt besteht aus regionalen Produkten aus Urla oder eben aus
dem eigenen Anbau. Man sieht während man isst wo die Zutaten herkommen und hat gleich ein ganz besonderes Feeling.
Das Personal von OD Urla ist so gastfreundlich und kompetent, so dass man am liebsten gar nicht mehr weg will. Wir können hier das „Tasting Menü” empfehlen – so kann man sich durch das speziell vom Chef zusammengestellte Menü durchprobieren und bekommt einen guten Einblick in die Küche des OD.
Natürlich kommen aber auch die Interior-Liebhaber unter euch nicht zu kurz – die moderne und authentische Einrichtung ist einfach ein Must-See. Absoluter Favorit-Spot in dieser Region!
Limon Köyici
Ein beliebter Spot in Alacati in einem der authentischen Steinhäsuer – Restaurant und Bar in einem.
Ferdi Baba Alacati Port
Das bekannte Ferdi Baba hat sich in Alacati Port auf Fisch & Mezze spezialisiert. Direkt am kleinen Alacati Marina Hafen gelegen bietet Das Restaurant neben den frischen und leckeren Gerichten auch einen tolle Aussicht auf den Hafen.
Alacati Kafasi
Diese Location befindet sich direkt am Strand und bietet neben toller Musik auch leckere Köstlichkeiten an. Hier kann man den ganzen Abend von Dinner bis Party verbringen.
Panderas
Hier ist das Motto „,Fine Dining, Fine Music” – wieder direkt am Strand kann man essen und danach den Abend bei einem leckeren Drink ausklingen lassen.
Boop Alacati
Wer Partys mag, sollte im Boop vorbeischauen. Natürlich gibt es hier neben guter Musik auch leckere Cocktails.
Eggs and Bakes
Frühstückliebhaber sollten diesem Spot unbedingt einen Besuch abstatten. Neben türkischen Leckereien gibt es hier auch coole Eigenkreationen.
Amavi Seafood
Das Amavi bietet tolle Seafood Spezialitäten an und ist sehr exquisit.
Sota Alacati
Meze Liebhaber aufgepasst – in dem Viento Otel befindet sich das Sota Restaurant und ist sehr bekannt für seine Vorspeisen in Kombi mit dem türkischen Nationalgetränk Raki.
Yek Alacati
Ein Restaurant mit ganz besonderem Open-Air Flair und ägäischen Köstlichkeiten.
Fava Alacati
Türkische und international Küche trifft hier an nur einem Ort zusammen.
Alacati Kimene
Ein Ort an dem man einen ganz typischen Meze-Raki Abend mit seinen Freunden verbringen kann.
Cesme Bazlama Kahvalti
Dieser Frühstückspot hat mittlerweile in der ganzen Türkei Filialen und ist bekannt für seine klassichen türkischen Kreationen. Hie sollte man das „Serpme Kahvalti” ausprobieren.
Wir würden an dieser Stelle noch viel mehr Restaurants und Bars mit euch teilen, allerdings haben wir die Auswahl zunächst auf die von uns auserwählten Favoriten beschränkt. Gerne könnt ihr aber unter

Alacati bietet aber nicht nur tolle Surfbuchten, Partylocations, Beachclubs und Restaurants – sondern auch Sightseeing Spots. Die Tipps beziehen sich hier lediglich auf Alacati, schaut aber gerne für weitere tolle Spots auch in meinem separaten Blogpost über Cesme vorbei.
Delikli Koy befindet sich etwas abseits der Altstadt von Alacati und ist ein wirkliches Naturspektakel. Von dieser Bucht aus kann man super ins Meer hüpfen, aber auch einfach die Ruhe genießen.
Direkt in der Altstadt sind die historischen Windmühlen das erste was einem ins Auge springt. Schaut unbedingt bei den Mühlen vorbei und genießt die Aussicht über Alacati.
Darüber hinaus bietet Alacati in der Altstadt viele kleine Ecken und historische Gebäude – haltet bei eurem Rundgang das Handy oder die Kamera immer griffbereit.
Alacati ist nicht nur ein beliebter Spot für die Einheimischen, sondern ist auch ein sehr authentischer Ort der Türkei, an dem man noch nicht so viele Touristen wie wo anders begegnet. Auch die Nähe zu anderen tollen Orten wie dem Hafenort Cesme macht diese Location sehr besonders. Großstadtflair bekommt man im nahegelegenen Izmir, nur 60 min Autofahrt entfernt.

Alacati is located on the Aegean coast in Turkey and is close to the major city of Izmir. The small town is the hotspot for celebrities and for all who want to see and be seen. Here meet in the summer months mainly local tourists, Turkish society and many surf lovers. Alacati is very popular for its surf bays and also internationally known.
However, if you prefer a quieter vacation, like us, you can experience Alacati in the off-season in a completely different way. This place has more to offer than just party, food and beach clubs. This special charm can be experienced especially well outside the high season.
Alacati is known for its characteristic stone houses and authentic narrow streets surrounded by subtle Mediterranean flowers and plants. Here you feel from the first minute on in the vacation
arrived. The friendly locals also welcome you with the typical Turkish hospitality. There the departure falls one also immediately much more difficult.

Where to stay
Alaçati offers the perfect accommodation for every taste. There are many small boutique hotels in the old town, but also great hotel complexes. As you know we have very high demands on a hotel and do research for long before booking the “perfect” accommodation.
We decided to stay in the wellness oasis BIBLOS RESORT ALACATI. The best decision! The five-star luxury hotel, which attracts its guests with the motto “Endless Aegean Dream” is not only a dream in terms of visual design, but also the service and the premises meet all expectations and desires. The hotel grounds and facilities in particular have been designed with great attention to detail. You can see how every single plant has been thoughtfully placed and completes the picture of a perfect botanical garden. Art, nature, relaxation, hospitality and lifestyle come together here in one place to facilitate the “Biblos experience”. The hotel is located directly at the coast and has its own private beach area. Of course, there are also several pools, a great fitness area, and an exclusive spa. You can perfectly relax and chill out here. The various treatment and massage offers of the Alatia Spa are highly recommended.
Arzu and I had a room on the 2nd floor and had a great view of the sea and the garden. If you love classic styles and boho flair, you will love the rooms. Perfectly equipped and with great 24/7 room service, no wishes remain unfulfilled here. Especially the warm evenings on the private balcony with the delicacies of the room service were a very special experience.
The hotel has 2 restaurants with an authentic and exquisite menu and great chefs. Here you can hardly decide when it comes to what to order. All dishes are super tasty! There is also the Patisserie Marquise, a dream for all dessert lovers. Be sure to stop by and enjoy an eclair and Turkish mocha on the beach.
We found our new favorite place to stay in Alacati and will definitely stay here again in the future. We are really looking forward to it.
Where to eat & drink
You will find a lot of small restaurants and authentic Turkish cuisine in the old town of Alacati. We tried a few of these great spots and would like to share our favorites with you here:
Asma Yapragi Tarla
This very authentic place feels like being in grandma’s garden. There is great Turkish home cooking prepared in a classic traditional way. Especially the mezze dishes are a highlight. It’s just incredibly hard to decide when you’re standing in front of all the great presented dishes. Don’t get confused when you go to this spot. The Asma Yapragi Tarla is very remote and feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. But this fact makes the restaurant even more unique and great. Therefore: definitely try it!
OD Urla
OD Urla is located in Urla in the middle of nature on an olive plantation. Here you can dine high-class under huge olive trees. The restaurant is very well known with its chef and owner Osman Sezener and a place you simply have to experience live. What is so special here?! The 5 star menu relies only on sustainable and regional products and consists of dishes prepared with in-house fruits and vegetables from their own garden and fields. Everything on the menu is made from regional products from Urla or from own cultivation. You can see where the ingredients come from while you are eating and it gives you a very special feeling.
The staff of OD Urla is so hospitable and competent that you don’t want to leave. We can recommend the “Tasting Menu” here – so you can try your way through the menu specially put together by the chef and get a good insight into the cuisine of OD.
Of course, the interior lovers among you won’t miss out either – the modern and authentic interior is simply a must-see. Absolute favorite spot in this region!

Ferdi Baba Alacati Port
The famous Ferdi Baba in Alacati Port specializes in fish & mezze. Located directly at the small Alacati Marina harbor, the restaurant offers fresh and delicious dishes as well as a great view of the port.
Alacati Kafasi
This location is right on the beach and offers great music as well as tasty delicacies. Here you can spend the whole evening from dinner to party.
Panderas
Here the motto is “,Fine Dining, Fine Music” – again directly on the beach you can eat and then end the evening with a delicious drink.
Boop Alacati
If you like parties, you should visit the Boop. Of course there is good music and delicious cocktails.
Eggs and Bakes
Breakfast lovers should definitely pay a visit to this spot. In addition to Turkish delicacies, there are also cool in-house creations here.
Amavi Seafood
Amavi offers great seafood specialties and is very exquisite.
Sota Alacati
Meze lovers watch out – in the Viento Otel is the Sota Restaurant and is very famous for its appetizers in combination with the Turkish national drink Raki.

What to visit
Alacati offers not only great surf bays, party locations, beach clubs and restaurants – but also sightseeing spots. The tips here only refer to Alacati, but feel free to check out my separate blogpost about Cesme for more great spots.
Delikli Koy is located a bit away from the old town of Alacati and is a real natural spectacle. From this bay you can super jump into the sea, but also just enjoy the peace and quiet.
Directly in the old town, the historic windmills are the first thing that catches your eye. Be sure to visit the windmills and enjoy the view over Alacati.
In addition, Alacati offers many small corners and historic buildings in the old town – keep your mobile phone or camera ready during your tour.
Alacati is not only a popular spot for the locals, but is also a very authentic place of Turkey, where you still do not encounter as many tourists as elsewhere. Also the proximity to other great places like the harbor town of Cesme makes this location very special. Big city flair you get in nearby Izmir, only 60 min drive away.
